Erez Ben-Yosef, an associate professor of archaeology at Tel Aviv University, is visiting Mississippi State to give a free public lecture titled "Solomon's Mines Revisited: Recent Discoveries of the Central Timna Valley Project." Since 2012, Ben-Yosef has been directing the Central Timna Valley Project, a multidisciplinary research effort focused on ancient copper production in the southwestern Aravah (Israel). The project currently is supported by the Israel Science Foundation, following four years of support of the EU Marie Curie Actions. Ben-Yosef also teaches in Tel Aviv University's Department of Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Cultures and its graduate program in archaeomaterials. Click the link below for more information.
