About this event

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi is hosting the third Get Ready to Run Kids’ One-Mile Fun Run at Mississippi State University. The Get Ready to Run Kids’ One-Mile Fun Run start area will be located at the intersection of Bailey Howell Drive and George Perry Street on the Starkville campus. This year in the Golden Triangle, the Get Ready to Run School Program helped educate nearly 13,000 students in K-5 schools about proper running form, nutrition, setting healthy goals and more during regularly scheduled P.E. classes. More than 1,000 students are registered to participate in the School Program’s culminating event, the Get Ready to Run Kids’ One-Mile Fun Run, one of the largest children’s running events in Mississippi. Students from participating schools will compete to win $2,000 for their school’s P.E. program by running on race day. Don’t miss this exciting event!
