Unity Month: Sexual Assault Information Booth

Unity Month: Sexual Assault Information Booth

April 3, 2019
10:00 am to 2:00 pm

About this event

In celebration of Unity Month, Mississippi State's departments of Art and Health Promotion and Wellness will have a booth set up on the Drill Field where students and others can pick up free information about sexual assault resources. The information booth correlates with a "What Were You Wearing?" Exhibition opening April 1 in the Colvard Student Union Art Gallery. The exhibition features clothing that people wore when they experienced sexual violence. Along with raising awareness and promoting prevention of sexual violence, the exhibition challenges participants to think about the universal connection to clothing and reflect on what gives this specific sexual violence culture myth power.
