About this event
By now you’ve no doubt seen the trends and increased requirements for "Team Science" among funding agencies. Increasingly complex, multi-factor problems require greater engagement among diverse experts and stakeholders to achieve potential solutions.
Sponsored by Mississippi State's Office of Research and Economic Development, this free seminar will teach participants about the theory, methods, benefits and opportunities of collaborative research. Presenters will discuss the "big picture" of the science of Team Science, including why funders have prioritized this approach as demonstrated in the increase in solicitations for "convergent," "collaborative," "transdisciplinary," "cross-disciplinary" or "multi-disciplinary" projects.
This workshop also will cover practical implications and resources for organizing and managing team science activities, as well as the specialized review criteria agencies are imposing on programs with a team science emphasis.
This session is appropriate for all investigators and potential stakeholders, research administrators and project support personnel.
