Mississippi State will celebrate the opening of a 34,500-square-foot Animal and Dairy Sciences building with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Reuben Moore, interim vice president of MSU's Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine, will preside over the ceremony. Speakers include MSU President Mark E. Keenum; George Hopper, dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and director of the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station, or MAFES; Gary Jackson, director of the MSU Extension Service and John Blanton, head of the Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences and interim MAFES associate director. A building tour will take place immediately following the ceremony.
