Charity Exhibition Game: MSU Men's Basketball vs. South Alabama

October 27, 2019
3:00 pm

About this event

Join Coach Ben Howland and his Mississippi State men's basketball team as they host the University of South Alabama Jaguars for a charity exhibition game at Humphrey Coliseum!

Admission is free, and doors open at 2 p.m. Fans can help ensure smooth entry by reviewing the university's policies for walk-through metal detector screening and clear bags.

Mississippi State has played host to a charity exhibition game in two of the last three seasons under Howland's leadership. The NCAA approved that an institution may use one of its possible two exhibition games against a Division I institution for the purposes of raising funds for a catastrophic event.

Proceeds from this year's game will benefit the United Way of West Central Mississippi for those affected by the flood waters in the South Delta. There have been over 500 homes and approximately 225,000 acres of farmland damaged by the record floods.

United Way representatives wearing maroon Live United T-shirts will collect monetary donations to benefit flood relief efforts as fans enter the coliseum.
