Is My Project the Right Fit for this Opportunity?

September 15, 2020
2:30 pm to 4:00 pm

About this event

This virtual seminar will present a variety of resources to help faculty locate appropriate funding opportunities. Participants also will learn how to ensure selected funding mechanisms are the right “fit” before investing hours of time and labor into crafting a grant proposal.

Carlos Ortiz, USDA program leader, will participate in the discussion of best practices for using searchable databases of funding opportunity announcements; preparing a strong, shareable concept paper; and vetting ideas with agency program officials. Agency requirements very often are similar, if not the same, so the information Ortiz provides will be applicable across multiple agencies.
