Join MSU's Alumni Association for the next webinar in its new Bulldog Bites Speaker Series!

Featured Speaker: MSU National Alumni President Sherri Carr Bevis

She will discuss her appointment to the Mississippi State Flag Commission and the process of selecting a new Mississippi state flag.

A Greenwood native, Carr Bevis has spent most of her life on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She graduated from Gulfport High School in 1982 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Mississippi State University in 1986. Following graduation, she worked two years as an MSU admissions counselor and then moved to Washington, D.C., as deputy press secretary for Sen. Trent Lott. After her time on Capitol Hill, she attended The George Washington University where she earned a master’s degree in higher education administration.
