Jordan, who earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Mississippi State, has served as MSU's interim vice president for research and economic development since July 2019. She previously served as the university's associate vice president for international programs and executive director of the International Institute from 2017 to 2019, and as director of the Research and Curriculum Unit (RCU) from 2010 to 2017. She additionally was project manager for the Mississippi State Community Action Team from 2007 to 2010.
Jordan has held numerous additional professional roles in the public and private sector. She completed her doctoral work in international development at the University of Southern Mississippi.
