To raise awareness about suicide prevention and encourage help-seeking, 1,100 backpacks will be placed on the Drill Field to represent the estimated number of college students who die each year from suicide.

Suicide prevention resources will be available, including information about free counseling for Mississippi State students provided by MSU Student Counseling Services. Additionally, national resources including the new 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline will be promoted.

The display will be held Monday [Sept. 19] and Tuesday [Sept. 20] on the Drill Field.
