About this event
Mississippi State and the Starkville community will honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the 29th Annual MLK Unity Breakfast and Day of Service.
This event will be held at the Mill Conference Center on Monday, January 16, 2023, with a complimentary breakfast served at 8 a.m. and the program beginning at 9 a.m.
This year's keynote speaker is Lee Brand Jr., senior pastor of Faith Baptist Church, former vice president and dean for Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and former vice president for the Southern Baptist Convention.
We will honor Dr. King's legacy and teachings by improving our community through volunteering from 10 a.m. to noon at the community agency of your choice. Service breaks down barriers by mobilizing people from different experiences and brings us together. Volunteering can instill unity and solidarity while building stronger communities.
