About this event

The MSU Office of Research and Economic Development will host the following three virtual seminars as part of its January series:

RFP Analysis and Outline, featuring MAFES Special Project Grant Coordinator Cassie McGee, from 11 a.m. to noon: Learn how to read, analyze and outline a proposal solicitation to ensure that you are capturing all the requested information and staying compliant with administrative requirements.

Proposal Preparation Logistics and Administrative Support, featuring CAVS Research Administrator Christy Bischoff and Office of Special Projects Subaward Manager and Contracts Administrator LeLe Kirkpatrick, from noon to 1 p.m.: This session will guide the audience through the typical steps and processes of working with your departmental and central level proposal support teams to prepare various nontechnical elements of your proposal, such as budgets, supplementary and subaward documents, internal forms and more. We will discuss their separate roles and responsibilities and the level of review each brings to your proposal before submission.

Proposal Development Resources, featuring Office of Research Development staff, from 1-2 p.m.: This segment of the program will describe the development resources and support services available through the ORD. ORD has development tools, such as checklists, outlines, and logic models, and can provide writing prompts, boilerplate language and examples or templates for various supplemental documents, as well as information on institutional capacity resources. ORD also provides in-house responsiveness and editorial review services. Learn how ORD can help you.
