About this event

Join us with special guest Mark Malone from the University of Southern Mississippi as we explore the lesser-known music of influential African American composer William Dawson. Dawson was a pioneer of the African American spiritual and was a long-time conductor of the famed Tuskegee Glee Club. This concert will feature MSU Cantaré in works by Dawson and composers influenced by this musical giant.
