Assistant Professor of Cello Amy Catron hosts a cello and piano recital at 4 p.m. on Oct. 5 in the Music Building’s lecture-recital hall. “Vignettes” showcases music from Debussy and Schumann as well as works by female composers Nadia Boulanger, Amy Beach, Nelly Li Puma and Berta Josephine Hecker. Each musical vignette is paired with another, highlighting various styles of music from French impressionism to German romanticism and Latino styles. Catron will be joined by MSU piano faculty members Rosângela Sebba, Sophie Wang and Anne Katherine Ragsdale.
