About this event
“Lessons and Carols in the Chapel” is a great time for students, faculty and staff to take a moment to focus on Christmas before finals begin!
President Mark E. Keenum will give a welcome and introductory remarks.
Danny Davis (Managing Editor, MSU Library, and Adjunct, Religion Department) will be the cantor.
The program features Dr. Michaelle Harrison on organ with Dr. Tom Jenkins on piano in addition to other instruments and vocalists.
Readers include Jane Moorhead (Electrical & Computer Engineering), Dr. Robert Moorhead (Geosystems Research) and Dr. Steven Gwaltney (Chemistry).
The tradition of “Lessons and Carols” is over 100 years old and tells the story of the fall of mankind, the promise of the Messiah and the birth of Jesus through nine scripture readings or “lessons” interspersed with carols.
