2015 Homecoming Grand Marshal Richard E. Holmes leads the parade past Davis Wade Stadium in the Cowbell Cruiser. Reared in Starkville, Holmes became the first African American student admitted to MSU in 1965. A retired physician and longtime Columbus resident, he also will be recognized during Saturday’s [Oct. 17] football game versus Louisiana Tech. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Davis Wade Stadium.
