Celebrating Black Alumni

Mississippi State's second biennial Black Alumni Weekend featured educational and social events, as well as a semiformal gala to honor African American alumni who are trailblazers in their respective fields. The sold-out event was attended by more than 700 participants and gave MSU alumni and friends of any ethnic background an opportunity to salute the university's heritage of inclusion and diversity. Pictured, Jasmine Murray, former Miss MSU and Miss Mississippi who now is a professional singer living in Nashville, performs during Sunday’s Gospel Brunch, which culminated the Feb. 15-18 program.
