Suzanne Powney, an assistant professor of art at Mississippi State, holds up an example of a "tunnel book" for her students in a Maymester course on bookbinding for artists and designers. The students are working to create their own tunnel books, one of the many techniques they are learning in the course, taught through the Department of Art, home of the Magnolia State's largest undergraduate studio art program.
