About 100 gaming enthusiasts from Mississippi State and the University of Mississippi faced off in the Esports Eggbowl competition this weekend as a crowd of onlookers gathered at Humphrey Coliseum. In 2018, MSU took home the inaugural trophy and this year played host as the second-year event played out in down-to-the-wire drama, with University of Mississippi edging out the win in final play. MSU President Mark E. Keenum welcomed players and fans alike earlier in the day for what he called a new era in an old rivalry.
