During his Tuesday [Oct. 29] visit to Mississippi State, retired NASA astronaut Fred Gregory shared inspiring stories from his extensive career, which included 455 total hours in space. The U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame inductee also recognized seniors Mary Catherine Beard of Lufkin, Texas, and Jacob Easley of Starkville, MSU's newest recipients of the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation's prestigious $10,000 Astronaut Scholarship.
