Senior aerospace engineering majors, both with concentrations in astronautics, Spencer P. Lampkin of The Woodlands, Texas, and Chase W. Wernex of Edwardsville, Illinois, work on a rocket for MSU's Space Cowboys team. The rocketry organization is made up of mostly engineering undergraduate students and has won major awards in competitions across the country. MSU President Mark E. Keenum has called these students "tremendous ambassadors for the excellent research prowess of Mississippi State."
