Jackson McCommon, an MSU senior wildlife, fisheries, and aquaculture major from Southaven, handles an alligator during the Human Wildlife Conflict Techniques class. Ricky Flynt, alligator program coordinator for the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks spoke to the students recently about alligator biology and conservation. The course helps students understand how to handle wildlife that may present a nuisance and how to resolve conflicts safely.
