MSU’s Darrione Rogers sealed the win for the Lady Dawgs Monday [Jan. 29] against the reigning national champs of LSU with a big shot from the perimeter. Head coach Sam Purcell watched the ball as it arched perfectly toward the goal, with the 77-73 final score securing him a first top 10 win as head coach. Rogers had 9 of the team’s 14 points in the last quarter as one of three players, including Jerkalia Jordan (24) and Mjracle Sheppard (12), leading the game in double digits. Next up: Kentucky, Feb. 1, 6 p.m., in Lexington’s Rupp Arena and on SEC Network.
