Senior Mississippi State student-athlete Peyton Bair won the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Decathlon title Thursday [June 12] during the collegiate championships in Eugene, Oregon, with the 10th-highest point total in NCAA championship history. After strong showings in a variety of events—from discus and pole vault to hurdles and javelin—Bair, a biological sciences major with concentrations in pre-med and physical therapy from Kimberly, Idaho, became the first American man to win the event in a decade and the seventh man in history to double as heptathlon and decathlon championship in the same year.
