The George D. Perry Carillon Tower is one of the most visible campus landmarks at Mississippi State, seen here as sunshine beams through the windows after much of north Mississippi experienced severe winter weather over the past several days. Opened in 1967 alongside the university’s iconic chapel, the carillon bells chime every hour and also play the “Hail State” fight song at 5 p.m. each day.
