Athletics staff at Dudy Noble Field make final preparations ahead of MSU's 2026 baseball season opener on Wednesday [Feb 11]. Grounds crew members spent the week grooming the infield, striping the outfield and ensuring every detail meets game-day standards at the facility widely known as the “Carnegie Hall of College Baseball.” The season opener against Hofstra brings fans back to The Dude tomorrow to begin another spring of Diamond Dawg baseball in one of the nation’s premier college baseball atmospheres.

Mississippi State groundskeepers make final preparations to Dudy Noble Field this week ahead of the much-anticipated season-opening baseball series this weekend against Hofstra University. Staff spent much of their time grooming the infield, striping the outfield and ensuring every detail meets game-day standards ahead of Friday's [Feb. 13] 4 p.m. first pitch and Coach Brian O’Connor’s debut at the Carnegie Hall of College Baseball.
