In celebration of Black History Month, MSU's Gender Studies Program is sponsoring a free lecture titled "Growing Liberation at Fannie Lou Hamer's Freedom Farms." The featured speaker is Priscilla McCutcheon, assistant professor of geography at the University of Kentucky. In addition to contributions of Mississippi civil rights icon Fannie Lou Hamer's, McCutcheon will delve into issues of gender and food insecurity.
