MSU Associate Director of Bands Craig Aarhus, left, graduate assistant Ben Bartlett, center, and Associate Director of Bands Cliff Taylor measure the distance between taped "X" markers in Davis Wade Stadium. Each represents a place for a Famous Maroon Band member to sit or stand during home football games this season, ensuring they stay six feet apart. While the band will not be able to perform on the field due to Southeastern Conference safety guidelines, they will play from the stands beginning with Saturday's [Oct. 3] home opener against the University of Arkansas.
