Mississippi State is celebrating National Ice Cream Day this Sunday [July 20] by announcing two new flavors for 2026 that will join the other 11 sold at the university’s MAFES Sales Store. Shecoya White, associate professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Nutrition and Health Promotion, and her students are cooking up new blueberry and sweet potato flavors, turning the state’s official fruit and vegetable into churnable ice cream.
