Stennis Capitol Press Forum set for Monday in Jackson

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Candidates for the office of Attorney General will be featured speakers Monday [Sept. 14] for the next Stennis Capitol Press Forum.

Incumbent Attorney General Jim Hood and his opponent in the November election Mike Hurst will be the special guests at the noon program, which takes place at Jackson’s Capital Club, located on the 19th floor of the Capital Towers at 125 South Congress St.

The $20 meal cost is payable at the door. The reservation deadline is noon on Friday [Sept. 11] and may be made by email to frank@sig.msstate.edu.

An ongoing program of the capitol press corps and Mississippi State University’s John C. Stennis Institute of Government and Community Development, the forum provides public policymakers and newsmakers an opportunity to discuss and answer questions about their organization’s operations.

Checks for the meal should be made payable to the Stennis Institute.
