MSU Starkville classes dismiss at 3:30 p.m. today [Feb. 2], campus closes at 4 p.m.

Mississippi State day and evening classes on the Starkville & Meridian Campuses will dismiss at 3:30 p.m. today [Feb. 2]. Also, the campuses will close at 4 p.m., and all non-essential employees will be dismissed at this time. Starkville Campus residence halls remain open. Colvard Student Union, the Sanderson Center, and Mitchell Memorial Library are operating under normal hours. All dining facilities will operate under normal hours. Students are urged to use caution as they move around campus.

Tonight’s men’s basketball game in Humphrey Coliseum against Alabama will continue as scheduled. Please monitor local weather announcements concerning attendance to this game.  Use your best judgement in making decisions regarding your travel to and from campus.

A cold front is expected to move through the area between 5 and 7 p.m. this evening, bringing the potential for severe weather conditions tonight. This includes the possibility of tornado warnings and straight-line winds.
