Hundreds again expected next week for MSU Insurance Day

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State’s 2016 Insurance Day takes place Tuesday and Wednesday [April 5 and 6] at the university’s new Mill at MSU Conference Center.

Now in its 29th year, I-Day is a continuing education program that annually attracts hundreds of insurance and other professionals for sessions focused on current industry issues. Attendees may earn up to 12 CE hours, including three hours in ethics.

I-Day is organized by the MSU College of Business and its risk management and insurance academic program.

Among this year’s session speakers:
— Cynthia Tidwell, president/CEO of Illinois-based Royal Neighbors of America, one of the nation’s largest women-led life insurers.
— Bernie Heinze, executive director of the American Association of Managing General Agents, the wholesale insurance industry’s Pennsylvania-based international trade association; and
— Harold A. Cross of Flowood, a retired U.S. Air Force major general, former Mississippi adjutant general and 1968 MSU mathematics graduate.

Luncheon speakers will include Sid Salter, MSU’s chief communication officer, and former head football coach Jackie Sherrill.
