MSU State Singers conclude European performance tour

STARKVILLE, Miss.—The Mississippi State University State Singers are concluding a nine-day performance tour in Austria and the Czech Republic.  

Under the direction of Associate Professor of Music Gary Packwood, 36 student singers have given performances at St. Nikolas Church and Melk Abbey in Austria, St. Stephan’s Cathedral in Vienna, as well as St. Martin in the Wall Church and St. Nicholas Church in Prague.

“This European tour marks the State Singers’ second international tour in five years,” added Packwood, MSU’s director of choral activities. In summer 2014, the group performed during a nine-day international trip to France and Normandy.
