STARKVILLE, Miss.—Two distance degree programs offered by Mississippi State’s College of Education are among the nation’s best, according to two new reports.

The university’s bachelor of education degree program is ranked 22nd overall for 2017 by College Choice.Net. At the same time, Great Value Colleges ranks at No. 11 the undergraduate degree offering in elementary education/early childhood education.

College Choice was created to “help students and their families find the right college.” For more, see www.collegechoice.net/about.

Great Value Colleges works “to help you get the most bang for your buck when it comes to getting a college degree.” For more, see www.greatvaluecolleges.net.

“These rankings are a testament to our dedicated faculty,” Dean Richard Blackbourn said. “We’re proud to foster these degrees through our distance program.”

In part, both rankings are based on such considerations as academic reputation, per-credit-hour cost, student satisfaction, affordability and average annual salary of online graduates, among other factors.

The rankings may be viewed in their entirety at, respectively, www.collegechoice.net/rankings/online-education-degrees and www.greatvaluecolleges.net/affordable/online-early-childhood-education-degree-programs.
