Bring ‘em and ring ‘em! Cowbell Yell returns to Davis Wade Stadium Thursday

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Are you ready for #MoorCowbell? Bulldog fans of all ages and their cowbells are welcome to Davis Wade Stadium Thursday [Aug. 30] for Mississippi State’s eighth annual Cowbell Yell pep rally.

Free to all, the 9 p.m. event is sponsored by the MSU Student Association and Department of Athletics. Fans should arrive at Gate F at the northwest corner of Davis Wade Stadium starting at 7:15 p.m. They will be required to walk through metal detectors as part of a new safety initiative that will be implemented at all home football games, starting with this Saturday’s [Sept. 1] season opener. Fans can prepare for metal detector screening by visiting HailState.com/metaldetector.

Among others, this year’s pep rally will feature appearances by Head Football Coach Joe Moorhead, former MSU football player Johnthan Banks, the Famous Maroon Band, MSU Spirit Squads and Bully mascot. Select MSU players also will speak at the event.

“The Student Association is always excited to create a space for students to create memories, and Cowbell Yell is one of those events,” said SA President Mayah Emerson. “We’re excited to kick off the new academic year and athletic season at Mississippi State.”

The first 1,000 individuals in attendance will receive free T-shirts. Hail State Rewards members (HailState.com/rewards) will receive 300 points for attendance. Fans can purchase Maroon Memories experiences for Cowbell Yell, including early entry passes and photos with featured speakers. Learn more at HailState.com/memories.
