Miss. Code Ann. §25-61-19
Pursuant to Miss. Code Ann. §25-61-19, the following describes legislation enacted during the 2019 Legislative Session that revises powers and duties of the Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.
SB 2867 University construction projects; authorize IHL Board to administer.
Summary: SB 2867 authorizes the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning to administer certain construction projects funded by state bond funds. Prior to distribution of funds, IHL and the Department of Finance and Administration must enter into an agreement that stipulates the responsibilities of each party, applicable procurement regulations, documentation and reporting requirements and conditions for handling state bond funds. Effective July 1, 2019.
