MSU to honor America’s veterans at annual recognition ceremony

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State University will honor U.S. veterans as part of its annual Veterans Day observance.

The university’s Veterans Recognition Ceremony takes place Thursday [Nov. 10] in advance of Veterans Day that Friday [Nov. 11]. MSU President Mark E. Keenum will be the featured speaker for the 2 p.m. event on the Drill Field, which is free and open to all.

The university’s G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Center for America’s Veterans at Nusz Hall is helping coordinate this event to honor all who have served.

Recognized as one of the nation’s most veteran-friendly universities, MSU continues to support over 3,000 student veterans, service members and dependents through educational benefits, financial aid and academic policies.
