STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State University is making travel easier for students during key academic breaks with the launch of a new student-only break bus service connecting campus to the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport in Alabama and Memphis International Airport in Tennessee.

College Break Bus will offer students a convenient and reliable transportation option between campus and the airports during fall, Thanksgiving, winter and spring breaks and Easter weekend.

“Traveling during breaks can be one of the most stressful parts of the semester for students,” said MSU Vice President for Student Affairs Regina Hyatt. “College Break Bus will provide a simple, dependable and cost-efficient solution allowing students to focus on their time away from campus instead of worrying about how they’ll get there.”

The Hand Chemical Laboratory and Old Main Academic Center will serve as convenient, on-campus pickup and drop-off locations. The service features direct airport drop-off and pickup, along with live bus tracking. Students can opt to purchase one-way rides or discounted roundtrips.

“We’re excited to partner with Mississippi State University to help make break travel easier, safer and less stressful for students and families,” said Sandy Borowsky, owner and co-founder of College Break Bus. “Our goal is to provide students with a dependable transportation option they can count on throughout the academic year.”

Schedules for fall, Thanksgiving and winter break travel are now available, with booking and pricing information set to be released in June.

The new break bus service complements existing transportation options available to students, including the Starkville-MSU Area Rapid Transit’s GTR Airport Express, which provides year-round service to the Golden Triangle Regional Airport.

Founded in 2018, College Break Bus now serves 13 universities across nine cities. For more information about service, pricing and booking, visit www.collegebreakbus.com/mississippi-state-university.
