STARKVILLE, Miss.—The Starkville-MSU Community Band presents its final concert of the spring season April 26.

The free, public performance takes place Sunday at 2 p.m. in Mississippi State’s Kent Sills Band Hall, 72 Hardy Road.

Band Director Johnny Folsom said the concert will open with Karl King’s “Big Four March” and features “Valzer,” a work by Starkville’s own Carlos Kemp. Other selections include a compilation of five hit songs by Ray Charles, Claude Smith’s “Anthem for Winds and Percussion” and James Swearingen’s arrangement of Jean Sibelius’ hymn “Be Still, My Soul.”
